Outstanding
The songs melody carries the song along with a light and breezy
sound. Like sunshine at dawn on a spring day. Smiles for everyone.
Acoustic guitar is warm and not overdone. The star of the song
is the female voclaist. She brings a unique style of Jazz and
blues that is simply outstanding. More talent than anything on
American Idol. This is a five star song. You win your round and
any round I would have voted on this year. Count me in.

Epic
Let's start with the fact that it takes balls of steel to upload
a nearly eight minute song for the notroiously "attention-deficit" garageband.com
crew to review. I admit I probably groaned audibly when the time
indicator popped up.
But, then I was catapulted into the song by that lovely acoustic
guitar and the harmonics, and we were off . . This song builds
nicely up to the "So Alone" line.
An interesting call and response type of vocal in the first segment.
Very tight. The female voice particularly is wonderfully racked
with emotion, she seems like she would be confortable in many
different genres. Overall the music itself and the performance
particularly were very strong
An interesting cross pollenation of styles. There are elements
of a lot of different styles at work here
The banjo and harp passage was particularly delightful then the
dobro slides in and the mood is painted wonderfully.
The weakness, (if there was one) I felt was in the lyrics. With
an obvious attempt at something truly epic, here . . . a few
of the phrases seemed a little contrived; ie. "feeling so
abused".
I didn't care too much for the dischordant vocal slide at around
3:07. Other than that, it's an extrordinary effort, and I'm very
excited to hear more from this band. Good luck!

Original
Man, that chick has a really cool accent. Very "Shuffle" feel
to the track. A lot of confidence in the vocals using only an
acoustic guitar and some drums. This is, by far, the most original
tune that I have heard here on GB in at least a month. Best of
luck.

Holy Smokes
This is like three songs in one. The first part is fast and rough
with a female voice singing "broken and juiced" with
wonderful angst and sexuality. It just made me want to scream
out "GOOD GOD YALL!" in my best James Brown voice.
I mean this girl (in the song) has been rode hard and put up
wet. I can really feel the absolute loneliness she's experiencing.
Then we get a break from the madness and what I perceive as her
male counterpart's rebuttal of "listen to all the lies you've
said to me". But wait, it's not over yet. Next comes a wonderful
instrumental filled with a banjo, harmonica, some slide and guitar
which for me is the signal that everything is gonna be alright
between these two tortured souls as they walk down a dark alley
hanging on to each other. If these two singers aren't lovers
in real life then they should be. The harmonies meld together
wonderfully. The segway to each segment is great. At least that's
my take on it. Nicely done guys, keep it up.

Awesome
Incredible. The vocals in this song are mesmerizing. I love the
vocal parts together. The different styles portrayed in this
song flow perfectly to make one extremely well written song.
The lyrics are very nice also. Great job!!

Awesome!
So unique, a breath of fresh air. It sounds very folksy in the
beginning and then switches to a more alternative feel and back
again... love it!!! Like both male and female vocals. Nice melody.
Nice fills with the guitar riffs. You have something very special
here. Keep writing and making awesome music! I'm adding you to
my playlist!

Relaxing
the guitar work is jazzy and fantastic. The vocals are clear,
really nice melody. I think the background vocals really make
it special. The chorus is catchy without being annoying. I still
can't get over the guitar work. nice job

Cool guitar riff
I really like the guitar riff thats backing this whole song,
and the singer has an amazing voice, it's one of those voices
that could sing you into sleep.
great work here

This is good stuff
Something i really like about some music is the way they blend
some really smooth intricate vocals with some really nice soothing
guitars. This song def does that. The guitars fit. The vocals
are complex in a smooth, jazzy type of way. Basically like weaving
in and out of your head with the music and melody. I listened
to it twice and thought the same thing both times... Excellent
vocals and well done melodies. Reccomended.

Great singers
man both singers on this tune are amazing. beautiful beautiful
vocals. great lyrics. sounds so delicate. the guitar is great
although that little lick at 1:20 is kinda stumbly. other than
that i love it.

Fun song
Nice groove, catchy hook and a tight performance. I really dig
the harmonies and guitar. The song had my interest all the way
through.
- JenniferRenee from Glendale, California
Nice
First off im really diggin the vocals, sorta norah joneish, the
mix is nice, without an overkill of instruments. Vocals and guitar
with lite jazz drums works well togeather. Good work.

Grooving along
This tune is great. I enjoyed everthing about it. Usually I don't
dig backing vocals done by men with the lead singing done by
a woman, but it works well in this song.
Nice work!

Acoustic music
So you start listening to this song, and you think,"Well
- kinda amateurish; vocals need work, etc" But then you
listen a while longer and you hear this fetching little guitar
rhythm that just makes you smile, and you hear the affected vocals
that seem somehow to fit the guitar, and you hear how the duet
of voices and the guitar match, and before you know it, you're
thinking, "Wow. Now THAT is a helluva song." And
you find yourself wanting to listen to it again.

Voice
may i say the lead singers voice is like music in full by itsself.by
saying this i mean you probably dont need any backup music or
acompnement because your voice is very powerful.beautiful might

Is that an angel? ....What can I say, great sound, performance
and I like the mood........Good job.
- astromrav from Yugoslavia
I really like what I hear...
Very inspiring if not uplifting. From the vocals to the intrumentation
of the guitars, everything has a great appeal to the ears, sounds
like a song that should already be somewhere, not garageband.
Very well written and although a bit simple, really gets its
point across, and doesn't try to do something that is out of
the range. Overall a very good song that I enjoyed.

Musical magic moments
The acoustic guitar setting up the knee slapping beat, kicking
in the drum stick work is very cool. Great drummers can make
a coffee table sound fantastic. This drummers coffee table must
be marked up pretty good. Traditional yet original, or contemporary
ideas come to mind as I listen to the music. Great work there
in blending the time periods.
Male and female vocals sound rather pro. Good energy and feelings
coming through in their deliveries. Holy crap! Now this is guitar
picking! Reminds me of some old classic "outlaws" stuff.
The background voices behind the soloing guitars sound so real
and "live" like. What energy! I cranked this baby up
on my monitors and was really digging it. Awesome job, capturing
a live musical magic moment.
I can't really find anything to citicize here because I liked
this so much. I was going to comment on the six minute length
being too much, but after hearing this great playing and energetic
live performance, I figure it's just the right length. Great
work! Keep it up.

Grabs your ears and won't let go!
this song grabs your ears and won't let go - there is vibe to this male / female
vocals that make you fell like your listening to two songs at once but it does
stop there at 2:20ish another takeoff that develops the song on more time????!!!!
GREAT writing and arrangement! this is excellent! great percussion throughout
- great guitar work - i like the "talking" in the solo it makes it
sound "alive and fun" great recording and mix - an absolute must listen
to this jam trax! great originality band!

What a beautiful vocal performance
This is a gorgeous song with a good hook to the chorus and lyrics that evoke
excellent imagery. Simply Gorgeous ! It is on par with Nora Jones ... Well done!!!

Give me a hammock and lay me out in the sun
Very refreshing and unique. Love the plucky guitar sounds with the almost Ella
like scat vocals. Light hearted lyrics with wonderful melody that really made
me wish I was laying in a hammock somewhere sipping boat drinks. Crisp studio
sound that’s very refined. Wow, why aren’t you guys everywhere on
the radio? Not to sound over complimentary but it really brought some sunshine
into my day. Many thanks and carry on.

WOW!! I am not real impressed with many bands I review here
but yours blew me away. I was surprised because I don't usually like this genre
of music. After i reviewed "With the Leaves" I started making all kinds
of plans for this song! Like how it would be great music to play for my husband
during a romantic dinner or how nice it would be to hear during a country drive
or even just a bubble bath! lol
It has a definite mood to it. I am sending you a friend request on MySpace too.
I think you really have talent and it's good to hear originality in a world of
cookie cutter tunes.
Rock on!
