The local music paper Urban Tulsa featured Fiawna
this year. You can read the article at www.urbantulsa.com
"That voice (talking about Fiawna) is why
people need to remember her name. Blessed with a low,
smoky register that rarely fails her, Forte sounds wise
beyond her years. Much like Feist, Norah Jones or even
Joni Mitchell, Forte's croon exudes both a relaxed confidence
and a sedate allure that most will find extremely appealing,
and the prospect of eventual commercial success doesn't
seem far-fetched.
Live, Forte is even better. Quietly confident, relaxed and
friendly, she's consistent and entertaining. As her 21st
birthday approaches, it's not unlikely that she'll soon join
the small club of local musicians who have been able to make
a decent living from bar gigs. Not that she's in any way
limited to that kind of small-scale success; she's clearly
got talent to spare and will inevitably grow into a formidable
presence, locally and abroad."
What a beautiful
vocal performance!
This is a gorgeous song with a good hook to
the chorus and lyrics that evoke excellent imagery. Simply Gorgeous!
It is on par with Nora Jones ... Well done!!! You have amazing talent
and it would be wonderful for you to do well! Good LUCK!!!!!

Give
me a hammock and lay me out in the sun
on Fiawna's song With The Leaves
Very refreshing and unique. Love
the plucky guitar sounds with the almost Ella like
scat vocals. Light hearted lyrics with wonderful
melody that really made me wish I was laying in
a hammock somewhere sipping boat drinks. Crisp
studio sound that’s very refined. Wow, why aren’t
you guys everywhere on the radio? Not to sound over complimentary
but it really brought some sunshine into my day. Many thanks
and carry on.

I really
like what I hear...
Very inspiring if not uplifting. From the vocals to the intrumentation of the
guitars, everything has a great appeal to the ears, sounds like a song that should
already be somewhere, not garageband. Very well written and although a bit simple,
really gets its point across, and doesn't try to do something that is out of
the range. Overall a very good song that
I enjoyed.

Where have you been?
I have been looking for this style of music for some time. You guys are musically
interesting, the contrasting voices are good. Instrumentation is awesome, well
recorded. I am a huge Rusted Root fan and have been looking for more music in
that realm with little luck. Thank you. You have your own sound within the
genre.
Great job. My fave so far. - Nevergoback from Saint Louis, Missouri
